FUTURE STUDENTSCampus Tours & School Visits. Career Advisers Day |
||
Making a decision about future study options can be daunting for some students. To help your students make the most informed choice before they apply to UNSW, we advise you to come see us at careers markets, campus tours or school visits. Careers Advisers Seminar The UNSW Careers Advisers Seminar provides teachers and careers advisers with the opportunity to find out about UNSW new directions, new programs and to see the campus.
We had over 150 Careers Advisers participate in this years seminar. Our exit surveys indicate that the seminar was informative, interesting and useful. Thank you to all those who attended and helped make the day a success.
Please note: the seminar is for High School Careers Advisers only. Students who are interested in upcoming UNSW events should check our Career Events and Exhibitions website.
School Visits and Campus Tours Members of Student Recruitment (SRO) staff and our student advisers can visit your school and talk about undergraduate programs, alternate entry, transition from school to university and student life at UNSW. Alternatively, we can arrange for your students to tour the Kensington campus and talk with faculty representatives and other members of staff. Tours of UNSW's Kensington campus are an ideal way of experiencing the vibrant and busy community of UNSW. Book your UNSW School Visits and Campus Tours for 2008 ONLINE! Click here to book now. The Student Recruitment Office will then contact you to confirm all details. Expos and Careers Markets The SRO participates in many Careers Markets throughout New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria and Queensland from early April to early September. These career markets allow us to provide the information that your students need when making that 'right choice'. A listing of the careers markets that UNSW will be attending in 2008 will be available in March. Careers Events UNSW holds several events throughout the year to ensure that high school students have access to the guidance they need. Courses and Careers Day (first Saturday in September) is an opportunity to tour the campus, discover about life as a student, study costs, admission and college accommodation. Info Day (first week of January) allows students to talk to academic and general staff, current students, attend lectures, look at accommodation and take tours of the campus. These days are an excellent way for prospective students to get a ‘feel’ for university life.
