I obtained my PhD in Finance at Tilburg University in 2018 and have attended Harvard University as a visiting researcher at the John M. Olin Center for Law, Economics, and Business. My knowledge covers a variety of areas in finance, economics, and international business.
My research area is corporate social responsibility and the market for corporate control, focusing on how and why corporate philanthropy exists, and the role of cross-country governance standards, employment policies, and information asymmetries in mergers and acquisitions (M&As). My work has been published in top journals in finance and international business, including the Journal of International Business Studies and Journal of Corporate Finance.
