Overview
There are no simple, single answers or silver bullets to understanding or resolving the issues around cybersecurity. Cyber is as simple as and as complex as the bad things that can happen in our digital and data systems. There’s a large technical component, but most of cyber is about people and the systems that shape how they work, interact and understand their environment.
This day-long course is an exploration of five questions that help decision makers themselves understand the messy, wicked challenge of cyber. The discussion will be framed by a scenario based on real-world experience, helping participants triangulate the problem space, generating insight and offering tools for use in the work environment.
Course content
In this course you will cover the topics of:
What is cyber (definitions)
Where is/who bears the risk (understanding and power)
Who is responsible/accountable (governance)
How can we resolve the problem, at what cost (understanding, capability and resources)
Why does this matter (purpose and vision)
Learning outcomes
