The School of Engineering & Information Technology is the biggest school at UNSW Canberra consisting of Aeronautical, Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering disciplines as well as including Space. We are passionate about developing the next generation of leaders in design and implementation of technology and engineering solutions to meet the challenges of our modern world.

From the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge to space travel, engineers and technologists shape the way our world works. As we face  global challenges presented by a changing climate, pandemics, geopolitical instability, and disruptive technologies, engineers and technologists will play a pivotal role in steering our progress.

Whether you have an interest in building airplanes, infrastructure needed for smart cities, hypersonics or robotics and AI technologies, we're empowering the next generation to be creative thinkers, problem solvers and world changers.

Young Women in Engineering (YoWIE)

At SET, we’re passionate about equal opportunities for all, as well as empowering and educating the next generation. 

Our YoWIE program is committed to inspiring young women in Years 9–12 to consider a future in engineering. 

This free three-day workshop aims to show students how maths and science studies at school can help shape their future.
