Michael Zipperle
Michael is a CSCRC sponsored PhD candidate in Cyber Security at UNSW Canberra. His research focuses on applying data provenance to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and robustness of traditional Host-based Intrusion Detection systems. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in computer science from the Furtwangen University in Germany and has participated twice in a research exchange program at KAIST in South Korea. Furthermore, Michael has 10 years of national and international industry experience in software development and data analytics in various fields. In his free time, Michael enjoys traveling and sports like skiing, mountain biking, and CrossFit.
