UNSW Institute for Cyber Security member, Jean Linis-Dinco will be a speaker at RightsCon ILGA Asia, Navigating Cybersecurity Risk: A Look at the Challenges Faced by Sex Workers.
Jean Linis-Dinco will be a speaker at the RightsCon Costa Rice, taking place in San Jose and online from June 5-8, 2023. In 2011, Access Now hosted the first-ever RightsCon (then the Silicon Valley Human Rights Conference). We met with the intention to create something different: a civil society-led space where all stakeholders – from tech companies to government representatives to human rights defenders – could come together to build a rights-respecting digital future. Since then, RightsCon has rotated between five continents and grown, both in size and in scope to meet the evolving needs of a movement.
Jean Linis-Dinco will joined by Meena Seshu (Founder, SANGRAM) and Annie Brown (Founder, Reliabl), as well Ajita Banerjie (Senior Research and Policy Officer, ILGA Asia) who will moderate the panel "Navigating Cybersecurity Risks: A Look at the Challenges Faced by Sex Workers."
Jean Linis-Dinco is a UNSW Canberra cyber PhD candidate, University of Melbourne data specialist, a passionate human rights activist and advocated for the meaningful involvement of women in decision-making processes. Jean has been recognised as one of the top 100 Women in Artificial Intelligence Ethics globally in 2022, and Global Goals Leader by Vanity Fair in 2023.
