Description

Built around our new ATC simulator capability, this research offers students the opportunity to investigate how simulation, artificial intelligence, and digital aerospace approaches can support safer, more efficient, and more sustainable air traffic/aviaton operations and training systems. Candidates will engage with important challenges facing the future of aviation, including human–AI teaming, controller workload, intelligent decision support, training innovation, and the smarter use of airspace to improve safety, reduce inefficiencies, and support environmental sustainability. Students in this domain can develop valuable interdisciplinary expertise while contributing to research that has clear practical impact for aviation industry, regulators, and the broader community.
