Help shape the future of equitable emergency care. This funded CSIRO–UNSW Industry PhD will advance TRIBOT, a multilingual AI research prototype designed to support communication between Arabic-speaking patients and Emergency Department triage nurses.

The candidate will develop and evaluate real-time AI language-processing systems and clinical safety-monitoring methods, working across artificial intelligence, digital health, emergency medicine and industry.

The project offers hands-on experience in responsible AI, simulation-based evaluation and human–AI interaction, with a competitive four-year scholarship and industry top-up available to eligible domestic applicants.

Scholarship amount

$48,071 per annum in 2026, indexed at 3% annually, for a maximum of four years.
