Mindika Premachandra is a Senior Research Associate at the School of Systems and Computing at UNSW Canberra. Her most recent research at UNSW was on designing an ethics measurement system for Autonomous Systems funded through DARPA's Autonomy Standards and Ideals with Military Operational Values (ASIMOV) program. Prior to that she was a Research Fellow at the Australian National University as a main contributor on several applied machine learning projects funded by the NSW Department of Primary Industries.

She obtained her PhD in 2015 from the Australian National University (ANU). Her early research explored connections between Machine Learning aggregations (ensemble methods) and the belief aggregation of prediction markets. Since then she has worked on various Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning and Network Epidemic Modelling projects. She has a wealth of teaching experience being a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer of the University of Colombo School of Computing, Sri Lanka from 2009-2018 and having contributed to various teaching and research courses at ANU including supervising research students. She also has diverse industry and consulting experience in finance and healthcare domains.

In the current Intelligent Systems for State and Societal Resilience (IS4SSR) project, she will be working closely with the ANU's National Service Delivery and Trends Assessment (NSDTA) team to bring an innovating approach to PNG service delivery data analysis.
