About the Digital Frontiers Lab
The Digital Frontiers Lab at UNSW Business School drives responsible digital innovation by connecting technology, behaviour, organisations, and policy. Working with government, industry, and community partners, the Lab turns research into practical solutions that advance digital inclusion, sustainability, emerging technologies, and evidence-based approaches for real social impact.
About UNDP - UNSW Collaboration
Mongolia's low-income urban households rely heavily on coal for heating, causing severe pollution and health risks. The shift to solar is shaped not only by cost but by cultural habits and gendered decision-making, making it a social and behavioural challenge. The Digital Frontiers Lab, UNDP Mongolia, URECA, and GerHub advance the Coal-to-Solar initiative through behavioural research, digital tools, gender-responsive design, and scalable renewable solutions.
