Why invest in PCH
Our completed flagship programs have informed integrated care models, youth mental health systems and rural service redesign in Australia and internationally.
We prioritise children and families who face the greatest barriers, including children with disability, families in rural and remote areas, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and culturally diverse communities.
Every program is evaluated for effectiveness, cost effectiveness and scalability, so funders can see the difference their investment makes.
Philanthropic support seeds work that goes on to attract major competitive funding and system wide adoption.
What your support makes possible
Philanthropy plays a distinct role in our work: it funds the early, innovative and community driven research that traditional grant schemes often cannot. Recent examples include:
- Healthy Beginnings, a co-designed early intervention helping children get support before they start school, funded by the Financial Markets Foundation for Children.
- virtualKIDS and the CHA Learning Health System, evaluations improving virtual paediatric care and using national hospital data to plan better services, supported by the Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation.
- EPIC-CP, co-designed social care navigation for children with cerebral palsy, supported by the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation and the Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation alongside NSW Health.
Ways to support us
Philanthropic giving
Make a gift to support child health research at UNSW Sydney. Gifts can support a specific program, a research theme such as equity or early intervention, or PhD scholarships and early career fellowships. Gifts to UNSW of $2 or more are tax deductible in Australia.
