This national program addresses the critical issue of ensuring the 670,000 kids admitted to hospitals and the 1.7M who attend emergency departments each year in Australia receive timely and safe care. Working with paediatric health system partners, consumer groups, and frontline clinicians our program will implement and assess the Safe-Check intervention to bring best practice to medication administration in paediatrics and produce measurable improvements in nursing workforce capacity.
