Prof Paul Wallace visited NDARC in March 2014 to present a guest seminar on the use of digital screening and brief interventions for problematic alcohol use.

The presentation canvassed:

  • early iterations of digital screeners and interventions
  • early and significant trials that assessed the feasibility and impact of digital screeners and interventions on substance use
  • current trials that are underway, and how they will add to the evidence base

Prof Paul Wallace is a former general practitioner and Primary Care Director of the UK's National Institute for Health Research's Clinical Research Network.  He is an Emeritus Professor at University College, London
