About this webinar:

This seminar covers gender differences in polysubstance use and sociodemographic overdose risks among men and women accessing residential treatment for opioid use. It then explores women's experiences of treatment for opioid use broadly, and within residential treatment specifically. Particular attention is paid to gendered experiences and the social construction of gender, and how these impact women's engagement in treatment. Patient-reported experience measures are also discussed as a potential avenue to capture women's complex, gendered experiences of treatment. Suggestions for improving women's experiences of care at service, sector, and policy levels are also discussed.
