Expertise
I am a medical anthropologist and public health social scientist. My research examines the socio-political drivers of health and health inequalities, health system transformations, and the uptake of medical knowledge and practice. I have a special interest in understanding institutional trust in medicine and public health. I have long-term experience in Indonesia, where I have carried out extensive research on the health and social landscape. I have also carried out consultancies for global health agencies bringing systems thinking and social scientific perspectives to public health problem-solving. I am currently supporting the implementation science research within the Precision Care Initiative, which is supporting the intergration of precision oncology into the health system.
