Welcome back to the December 2025 chapter of the Sydney Poetry Lounge, featuring poetry from Paul Dawson and our incredible open mic! Join us upstairs at The Glebe Hotel for a night filled with powerful spoken word performances and heartfelt poetry.
$10 entry, $5 concession, tickets available on the door or via Humanitix.

Paul Dawson's latest collection of poetry is Lines of Desire (Puncher & Wattmann, 2025). His first book, Imagining Winter (IP, 2006) won the national IP Picks Best Poetry Award. Paul is the new poetry editor of Southerly and his work has appeared in a number of journals, including Meanjin, Island, Westerly, Cordite Poetry Review, Australian Poetry Journal, Peril Magazine and Mascara Literary Review. His work has also been anthologised in Contemporary Asian Australian Poets (Puncher & Wattmann, 2013) and Harbour City Poems: Sydney in Verse, 1788-2008 (Puncher & Wattmann, 2009). Paul teaches literature and creative writing in the School of the Arts and Media at the University of New South Wales.
