Industry associations & accreditations
UNSW School of Accounting, Auditing & Taxation actively seeks accreditation from nationally and internationally recognised bodies for its degrees and engages with industry to ensure our courses are up to date with industry benchmarks. Students can feel confident that they will have the applicable skills required to meet the standards of top institutions in the Accounting field.
The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), the Master of Professional Accounting and the Master of Professional Accounting (Extension) are all accredited by CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).
International Professional bodies such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) also accredit the Bachelor of Commerce, the Master of Professional Accounting and the Master of Professional Accounting (Extension). For example, these programs meet the requirements for Fundamental level courses (F1-F9) exemption from the ACCA qualification.
CPA Australia, CAANZ, IPA and ACCA are supportive of the School of Accounting, Auditing & Taxation, UNSW Business School and our teaching and research activities. Our accounting academics have served on various committees of both professional bodies over many years.
