AGSM Indigenous Leaders Scholarships

  • The AGSM Indigenous Leaders Scholarship is designed to provide support to an Australian Indigenous student to undertake an eligible AGSM Postgraduate program.

    Selection process and how to apply:

    Candidates will be eligible to apply for this scholarship once they have submitted an application for or commenced in one of the AGSM MBA or Master of Management programs. Please refer to the UNSW Scholarship Page for selection process and application details.

    Selection criteria

    Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria:

    • Academic merit
    • Leadership qualities (school, workplace and/or community)

    Value and funding

    This scholarship will cover 50% of the tuition amount paid as a tuition fee waiver.

    These decisions are made at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

    Funded by AGSM @ UNSW Business School.

    Eligibility

    These scholarships are open to all Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders) who are currently studying or receive an offer of admission to one of the AGSM @ UNSW Business School programs:

    • AGSM Full-Time MBA
    • AGSM MBA (Executive)
    • AGSM MBAX
    • AGSM Master of Management

    One recipient will be awarded this scholarship per term.

  • Funded by Emeritus Professor Richard Henry AM and the late Dr Rachel Oberon, this scholarship is designed to provide to support an Australian Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander student who has received an acceptance into the AGSM MBA (Social Impact) program.

    Candidates are eligible to apply for this scholarship once they have submitted an application for the AGSM MBAX (Social Impact) program. Please refer to the UNSW Scholarship Page for selection process and application details.

    Selection criteria

    Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria:

    • Academic merit
    • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
    • Aptitude and commitment to supporting, developing and contributing to better social outcomes in the business, public and/or social purpose sectors

    Value and funding

    One recipient will be awarded this scholarship and will receive a value of up to $60,000 to be paid against the tuition fees for the duration of the AGSM MBAX (Social Impact) program. This program is to be completed between two to six years.

    This decision will be made at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
