Empower our female students for future generations

Did you know that less than 14% of degree-qualified engineers in Australia are women? We can do better! Let’s highlight their talents to achieve engineering excellence.

We need your help in encouraging students to attend our amazing workshop to experience fun university level engineering first hand, with activities including:

  • building a gas turbine engine and exploring flight (Aerospace)
  • disassembling and reassembling an engine (Mechanical)
  • soldering and programming a circuit (Electrical)
  • commanding a robot to solve a problem (IT)
  • designing, building and testing a dam (Civil)
  • building a YoWIE keepsake in our mechanical engineering workshop (Technical Skills)
  • analysing a signal to return an astronaut to her rocket.

Students will also meet innovative and inspirational female students, graduates, staff and guest speakers. Together let’s support, guide and assist female students to discover their future.
