About this webinar:

Nitrous oxide use and related harms have attracted increasing public health attention in Australia and internationally, alongside changes in product availability, patterns of use and the emergence of larger-volume canisters. This webinar will bring together the broader global and Australian context, the latest findings from EDRS Drug Trends data, and clinical insights to examine changing patterns of nitrous oxide use and harm, and emerging responses.

About the speakers:

Dr Jodie Grigg is a Research Fellow at the National Drug Research Institute at Curtin University, with particular expertise in drugs used in event and nightlife settings, emerging drug trends and harm reduction. She is the longstanding coordinator of the Perth arm of the Ecstasy and Related Drugs Reporting System (EDRS) and has led research examining nitrous oxide use, changing product types and related harms in Australia. Alongside Dr Jessamine Soderstrom, her work has also helped prompt the Western Australian public health response to nitrous oxide-related harms.
