About this webinar

This seminar will examine hospitalisations with injecting-related infections in and after leaving prison among a cohort of people with a history of injecting drug use. It will discuss findings from the Prison and Transition Health (PATH) project. PATH is a prospective cohort of men recruited from prison and followed up post-release. Their survey data has been linked to hospital and emergency department data, and this study uses hospitalisations with diagnoses of injecting-related infections to determine the incidence during prison and after release.

About the speaker

Dr Samantha Colledge-Frisby is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the National Drug Research Institute (NDRI). Her research primarily focuses on the epidemiology of injecting-related injuries and diseases among people who inject drugs.
