In this lecture, we will discuss concerns about nicotine and tobacco. Tobacco and nicotine aren't synonymous, and while tobacco contains nicotine, there are other products that nicotine is a component of that are not tobacco. Alcohol, nicotine & tobacco, and hypnosedatives comprise the major licit drugs. Together, these drugs make significant contributions to the burden of disease associated with problematic substance use.
