In this presentation, A/Prof Raimondo Bruno (School of Medicine, University of Tasmania), discusses existing knowledge around synthetic cannabinoids and presents findings from the 2018 national Illicit Drug Reporting System (IDRS) and the Ecstasy and Related Drugs Reporting System (EDRS). 

The IDRS interviews are conducted with people who regularly inject drugs and the EDRS interviews are conducted with people who regularly use ecstasy and other stimulants.

This presentation covers findings from the 2018 interviews with respect to trends over time in recent use of synthetic cannabis and patterns of use. It was delivered at Psyche Scene, 2nd Biennial Drugs, Alcohol and Mental Health Conference, held on 16 February 2019 in Melbourne, Australia.
