Open Day - Drone Soccer a hit at the Drone Zone

UNSW Open Day 2025 was held on Saturday 6th September, and UNSW Aviation launched our brand-new drone soccer activity for the first time, which was an absolute hit! Picture a netted jumping castle-like structure, with two teams battling it out to score the most goals via flying their drone through the hoop while blocking their opponents from doing the same. For the Harry Potter fans out there, imagine Quidditch with drones! With our new Bachelor of Aviation (Drones) building momentum, there has never been a better time to get into the world of drones, with its endless possibilities and opportunities. 

Our advisory stand team were likewise flat out all-day answering questions and chatting with eager future aviators and their families. This was our biggest and most successful Open Day yet, and we are excited to welcome the next generation of passionate aviation students through our doors! We would like to thank the Future Student Recruitment team for their massive support in making our new drone soccer activity possible.
