Bachelor of Science in Computer Science overview
Computer Science is the study of the design, construction and use of computer systems. When you complete a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at UNSW Bengaluru, you’ll develop the skills and knowledge required for computer applications to be developed.

Working with both hardware and software, this undergraduate degree teaches the basic principles behind computing tools, operating systems, compilers and translators, and computer hardware.
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science also focuses on the representation of data and data structures in computer systems and the design of algorithms for automatic manipulation of this information by programming languages and machine systems. This is a three-year, full-time degree that will give you the skills to shape the computer systems required by individuals and organisations of tomorrow. You’ll graduate with the right knowledge and qualifications to get a job.

UNSW Bengaluru accepts prior studies completed in English to meet our English language requirements depending on whether you are from an English-speaking background or non-English speaking background.
Types of study Requirements Senior Secondary Studies completed in an English-speaking Country Senior Secondary results completed in a recognised English-speaking country will meet our English language requirements if they were taught and examined in English and attempted no more than two years before your intended start date. Other Senior Secondary Qualifications UNSW Bengaluru recognises some academic qualifications completed in non-English speaking countries. Foundation and University Preparation Studies UNSW Foundation Studies: minimum requirement is C+ in Academic English. Foundation Studies from an Australia Group of Eight (Go8) University: minimum requirement is a Grade C+ or 70% in English. Australian TAFE / Private Provider Studies: minimum requirement is a completed AQF Diploma or completed AQF Advanced Diploma. You’ll also need to meet the minimum academic and English language requirements for your chosen degree. Applications open in March 2026. You can apply at one of our in‑country events or online through the UNSW Bengaluru website. Applications and offers are prioritised according to academic merit and subject to program availability. You'll receive an outcome by email once the assessment is complete.
This program is delivered by UNSW Bengaluru Private Limited. UNSW Bengaluru Pvt Ltd is a joint venture between UNSW & Emeritus.

Scholarships
All Resident Indian Citizens automatically receive a tuition fee award of up to 10%, which is incorporated into the published fee rates. We also offer UNSW Bengaluru equity scholarships to support commencing undergraduate and postgraduate students experiencing financial hardship, helping them access a world-class education at UNSW Bengaluru.
UNSW Bengaluru offers two types of equity scholarships. You must be a Resident Indian Citizen to apply. Applications open in March 2026.
- UNSW Bengaluru Future Leaders Access Scholarship: A full tuition scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for the full duration of the program. These are highly competitive and awarded to a small number of students.
- UNSW Bengaluru Progress Scholarship: A 35% reduction on tuition fees for the full duration of the program.
