There is no automatic or internal transfer between UNSW Bengaluru and UNSW Sydney programs. If you wish to study at UNSW Sydney, you will need to submit a separate application and meet the admission requirements for your chosen UNSW Sydney program. You may also apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which will be assessed in line with UNSW Sydney policies.
If you enrol at UNSW Sydney, you will be required to apply for an Australian student visa. UNSW Sydney is registered on the Australian Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). For visa information, please visit the Australian Department of Home Affairs website.

All courses at UNSW Bengaluru are taught in English. Applicants are required to meet the English language proficiency requirements, which are the same as those for admission to UNSW Sydney programs.

UNSW Sydney is currently taught under a three-term calendar, with a new flex-semester calendar to be implemented from 2028. UNSW Bengaluru follows a semester calendar, with teaching starting in August each year.

UNSW Bengaluru offers two equity scholarship schemes (you must be a Resident Indian Citizen to apply):
- UNSW Bengaluru Future Leaders Access Scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for the full duration of the program. Highly competitive; awarded to a small number of students. If you receive a 100% scholarship, you are exempt from the INR 250,000 deposit.
- UNSW Bengaluru Progress Scholarship offers a 35% reduction on tuition fees for the full duration of the program.
Continuation of any scholarship is reviewed each semester and depends on you maintaining enrolment, an academic status of Good Standing (passing 50% or more of attempted units of credit), and the academic progress requirements stated in your offer letter.
