Implications past enrolment deadlines
Learn about important deadlines to consider when adding or dropping courses on myUNSW, including:
You have a responsibility to enrol into courses and drop them (if required) within relevant deadlines for each teaching period.
After enrolment and withdrawal deadlines pass, you may be liable for academic or finanical penalties when dropping courses. Understand the implications of each deadline below.

You can drop (withdraw from) any UNSW Bengaluru courses via myUNSW before the relevant teaching period ends. However, after certain dates, there will be implications for your enrolment, academic record and/or payment due.

If you withdraw from a course before the census date:
- You will not have to pay the tuition fee for the course
- The course will not be recorded on your academic transcript
- The course will not contribute to calculating your Weighted Average Mark (WAM)
- The course will not contribute to calculating your academic standing or progression.

If you withdraw from a course after the census date and before this date:
- You will have to pay the tuition fee for the course
- The course will not be recorded on your academic transcript
- The course will not contribute to calculating your Weighted Average Mark (WAM)
- The course will not contribute to calculating your academic standing or progression.

If you withdraw from a course after the Discontinue without Failure date and before this date:
- You will have to pay the tuition fee for the course
- The course will be recorded on your academic transcript with an Academic Withdrawal (AW) grade
- The course will not contribute to calculating your Weighted Average Mark (WAM)
- The course will contribute to calculating your academic standing or progression. It will count as attempted units of credit (without passing).

If you have not dropped a course before the teaching period ends, your Course Authority must award you a final mark and grade for the course.
