Ensure that you are connected to the internet. e.g. personal hotspot or home network.

Note: Instruction steps and images may vary slightly depending on the device version/type. You can check if your device type and operating system supports the ClearPass Onboard Requirements here.

Search and navigate to Clearpass QuickConnect app page in the Google Play Store.

Select Install.

Note: DO NOT delete the app after the setup as you will lose access to Eduroam if you do.

Open the chrome browser and navigate to the GetOnline (https://www.unsw.edu.au/get-online) website.

Select Get Online.

Note: Ensure that Desktop site is unticked.

Read the Terms and Conditions and select I agree.

Select Next.

Select the type of device you would like to onboard to the UNSW WiFi network.

Sign in by entering your zID@ad.unsw.edu.au and password. Follow through the MFA process when prompted.

Select the link I have already installed QuickConnect. This will download the certificate ‘quick1x.networkconfig’.

Install the certificate by tapping the certificate.

This will launch the ClearPass Quickconnect application.

Note: the way to open the file may vary between android versions

Select Allow, then OK to finish connecting to the Eduroam network.

Once the onboarding wizard finishes loading, select ‘OK. You will now be securely connected to the Eduroam Wi-Fi network every time you are at participating institutions.
