The UNSW IT Multimedia, Audio Visual and Immersive (MAVI) team, led by Travis Rice; supports the comprehensive audio visual products and services right across UNSW. We’re dedicated to ensuring that audio visual equipment is readily available, easily accessible, and highly responsive to the diverse needs of our students and staff. Our commitment is to provide AV solutions that enhance the educational and professional experiences at UNSW.

  • Quick start guides and videos to help you get you up and running quickly in Centrally Allocated Teaching Spaces (CATS) - UNSW.to/avresources
  • For urgent AV assistance in CATS call our AV Support line on (02) 9385 4888 [Ext 54888] or you can report something broken here
  • For general AV requests you can lodge a ticket via AV@unsw.edu.au or if something is broken, report an incident via Servicepoint

UNSW Lecture Recordings+ is powered by the Echo360 Active Learning Platform, a cloud-based service supporting learning.

Need a new audio visual, multimedia or immersive technology solution?

Our team have a range of specialist that can help design your new Multimedia, Audio Visual and Immersive (MAVI) space or solution, click here to create a new email to our experts! Once a solution or space design has been agreed (and quoted if funding is required), you'll be asked to lodge a Fit Out Request which acts as your approval to proceed.

Want to assess new AV, Multimedia or Immersive technology? Please lodge an Enhancement Request to assess under a Proof of Concept PoC.

Digital signage (Appspace)

The MAVI team also supports UNSW's Digital Signage Solution, Appspace. These are the screens you see across Campus displaying information relevant to the faculty or building with upcoming events or important information.

You can request access to Appspace by seeking approval from your line manager via email and forwarding to AV@unsw.edu.au with the building, faculty or content group you want to create content on. Content Publishing Tutorials are found here on Appspace.

If you want to amend or create a new Content Group for your building or faculty create a new email with the owner and members, new screens/displays can be requested via the Design AV Consultation Request as above.
