What is Canva?
Canva is an online platform that enables users to create high-quality visual content with ease — no design experience required. UNSW provides free Canva Pro access to all students to use for presentations, posters, resumes, infographics, social posts, creative portfolios and much more, supported by official UNSW templates and brand resources.
Why use Canva at UNSW?
- For students: Create coursework, research posters, club promotions, group presentations, career portfolios, employability assets and creative projects.
Who can access Canva?
- All UNSW students (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) are eligible and will have Canva access via Single Sign-On (SSO).
How to access Canva
For students
- Go to the UNSW Canva access page.
- Log in to the student portal.
- Click Sign in or Continue with SSO.
- Log in using your UNSW student credentials.
- Follow the prompts to complete setup and accept terms.
Getting started
- Start with a template or create a new design.
- Search by format (e.g., presentation, poster, resume, infographic, video).
- Share and collaborate with classmates or colleagues.
- Download, present or publish your design.
- Use available UNSW templates and branding.
