Improving expert reports and evidence

Expert reports can influence important legal and regulatory decisions. This research examines how the language, structure and systems used in expert reporting can improve the clarity, credibility and appropriate use of expert evidence.

Supporting young people affected by fire misuse

This research aims to improve how fire misuse and related conduct problems are understood, assessed and treated in children and young people. It brings together risk assessment, intervention, technology and community knowledge to support earlier identification and more effective responses.

Preparing psychologists for high-risk situations

Forensic psychologists sometimes need to respond to rare but high-risk situations. This research examines whether simulated learning can help trainees build the skills, confidence and judgement needed to manage these situations safely and effectively.
