Natalie Tran
UNSW Art & Design Digital Media (now Media Arts) graduate Natalie Tran is a comedian, vlogger, and Australian social-media star delivering to her million+ followers a new video every month dissecting conundrums confronting people in modern Western society. She’s interrogated subjects as diverse as “What kind of a person would a cockroach be?”, “I was here first”, “Annoying things people do in group photos”, “You can’t have my wifi”, and “How to cross when a car stops for you”.
Natalie's unpretentious humour and offbeat videos feature a central character (Herself) presenting the troublesome social dilemma to viewers. All other characters are also Natalie dressed in different outfits delivering counter-points of view. Her fans love her and rack up between 500,000 – 2,500,000 views per video and generate years of posted commentary. They also get mad when she’s a couple of days late in delivering her latest video and tell her so.
