Research & impact

Students from our health professional programs learning in UNSW Medicine & Health’s facilities

The School of Health Sciences (SoHS) is UNSW Medicine & Health’s newest teaching and research school. SoHS presently runs the faculty’s Bachelor of Exercise Physiology and is working to expand program offerings into the Allied Health space, including Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Exercise Science.

Our research directly contributes to improving heath in Australia and globally. Using exercise physiology, pain education, biomechanics and human movement sciences we develop innovative approaches to support longer and healthier lives with a focus on cardiometabolic diseases, cancer, mental health and pain.

SoHS is also home to the University’s Lifestyle Clinic, a teaching clinic providing exercise and movement therapy for healthy populations and those living with chronic disease.
