Australian Centre for NanoMedicine

The Smart Materials & Surfaces Research Group is part of the Australian Centre for NanoMedicine of which Professor Gooding is a former founding co-director. As a result much of our research has a nanomedicine focus where we modify surfaces for diagnostic devices, imaging and biomaterials as well as more fundamental work on electron transfer, catalysis and cell-surface interactions.

New South Wales Smart Sensing Network

The Smart Materials & Surfaces Research Group is part of the New South Wales Smart Sensing Network (NSSN), of which Professor Gooding is a former founding co-director.

Australian Microscopy and Microanalysis Research Facility

Professor Richard Tilley is the Director of Electron Microscope Unit at the Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre, UNSW. The Unit is a founding member of the Australian Microscopy and Microanalysis Research Facility (AMMRF).

ARC Research Hub for Connected Sensors for Health

The Smart Materials and Research Group is a part of the ARC Research Hub for Connected Sensors for Health of which Professor Justin Gooding is a Theme Leader.

ARC Training Centre for Next-Gen Technologies in Biomedical Analysis

The Smart Materials and Research Group is a part of the ARC Training Centre for Next-Gen Technologies in Biomedical Analysis of which Professor Richard Tilley is Deputy Director.
