My practice is centred around notions of intimacy and female sexuality through abstracted iconography and hidden images. In particular, the works express the symbol and function of ‘skin’, materially and metaphorically representing it’s layers and transparency. I further utilise found materials associated with the domestic, alluding to the notion of ‘private spaces’ and acts of voyeurism. The piece thus plays with the idea of ‘gazing’, allowing audiences to uncover the explicit images, deciphering the obscured figures for themselves.
