STUDENT'S ARTWORK

ARTIST STATEMENT

As I continue to grow, I am coming to realize that one day I will have to say goodbye to my loved ones around me one by one. Saying goodbye is a subject that all people have to face. This issue has haunted me for a long time, making me feel that I may never find closure. Therefore, I began to think about the concept of "goodbye". I organized my thoughts and created this series of works through different forms of expression, exploring the relationship between loved ones and farewells in traditional Chinese families.

Artwork medium: Procreate (for drawing and creating initial animations) and Final Cut Pro X (FCPX) (for editing and finalizing the animation).

ARTIST INTRODUCTION

I am Yizhou. I have loved animation and painting since I was a child, because I think it is a process of creating my own "world". It is a very happy process to show and share the world I created with everyone. I hope my audience can resonate with me. At the same time, I hope that my works will not be too guiding. I prefer people to find their own answers through my works.
