ARTIST STATEMENT

The meaning of the dialogue in the audio is that if the world is going to be in chaos, I'll make it even more chaotic. In the hell of humanity, I want all these countless people to come and be with me. At the peak of the creation of this work, I talked with my friends about the format of horror films. Under this topic, we gradually began to explore the forms of horror film, and discovered that the styles of horror film in different countries and regions vary slightly. Therefore, I want to create a Chinese-style horror style. This work lacks a clear storyline and background. There are no preconditions either. Truth and falsehood, falsehood and truth, are like illusions. Whether it's true or not all depends on the imagination of the viewers. This is also the reason why I named this work Hallucination. In my opinion, Chinese-style horror is not so straightforward. In most cases, it is conveyed through the creation of lighting atmosphere and the content of the sounds. Therefore, in the production process, I used many different sound effects to create the atmosphere. These sound effects are mostly recorded by myself. During the recording process, various methods were tried to achieve the music effect I needed, for example, the stacking of effectors and the processing of tracks.

ARTIST INTRODUCTION

I'm Audrey, a sophomore student at the University of New South Wales. Currently, I'm studying in the Screen Production major and am also taking a minor in Visual Effects and Sound. I chose to study this particular major because I like it, but, more importantly, I was attracted by what this major offers. I really enjoy the process of creation. During this process, the collisions of different elements and the connections between me and those elements keep me extremely fascinated. Besides, in my spare time, I enjoy taking photos and taking some portrait photos for my friends or classmates. I hope to capture some beautiful moments through the camera and the lens. In terms of sports, I enjoy playing badminton and swimming. Through exercising, my brain can have a brief rest when it runs out of ideas or when I'm lacking inspiration. Sometimes, this can also lead to the emergence of some new and inspiring ideas.
