ARTIST STATEMENT

In a photomedia world that demands detail, clarity and authenticity, Ecowashing (2025) presents a landscape reduced to glitchy RGB channels. In this looped video work, [we are asked to] consider the technologies we use and their impact on the environment.

ARTIST INTRODUCTION

Richard Trang is an emerging Western Sydney artist practicing on Dharug Land. Trang’s work is located between photography and installation, blurring the lines between both mediums. Vietnamese heritage, diasporic identity and childhood inform Trang's practice.
