ARTIST STATEMENT

For this project, I challenged myself by modelling an old-style rotary telephone infused with Art Deco elements. Beginning with polygonal cubes in Maya, I shaped the base and body, then used extrusion, mirroring and curve-based tools for the intricate dial and pillars. The cord was built with a helix and refined using lattice deformation. After converting curves into polygons, I unwrapped UVs in Maya and textured the model in Substance 3D Painter, balancing gold tones with aged patinas. This work shows my work and ability in 3D Visualisation. Hope you enjoy it!
