Artist statement

Restlessness is a small-scaled series of framed life drawings rendered with graphite on paper. Using realistic, traditional drawing methods, the work creates minimalistic drawings of the female nude over a duration of one week noted by the time and date recorded within the frame. This work involves the depiction of the subject during insomnia, highlighting the peculiarities of the individual experience that is often seen as destressing and undesired yet a significant moment of self-indulgence.
