Artist statement

Interconnected  was created with pen and ink on paper and sewn together with needle and thread to formulate a large composition depicting the intricate patterns within the natural and human world. Meticulous drawing techniques were used to fabricate a plethora of patterns which were then individually sewn together. The artwork aims to dismantle my own anthropocentric positionality through representing the complex web of interconnections found within the natural and human world manifested through patterns.
