Artist statement

Speculating on a proposed 'tapestry of reality' and its revelation, this work explores both visual and auditory noise as the artefacting of a breakdown of the perceived environment, into its precognitive state of information. Lithographs of seemingly cellulose pattern and organic fractal webbing on nylon/ spandex are stretched over frames, distorting, and divulging their ribs and weaving, while interacting with audio reactive dappled light. The work explores a phenomenologically naive, allegorical imagining of the internal workings of external workings- exposing the information dense noise from which our environment is synthesised.
