Artist statement

the breeze will kill me considers the delicacy of listening. The work reflects upon a hearing disability which creates a sense of disconnect from the acoustic ecology of surrounding environments. Absence of sound within this work does not equate to silence, but a faint soundscape which is deciphered by assistive auditory technology; anticipating what will be heard next.
