Project Aim (and/or Objectives)
The project aims to establish a joint research collaboration with the Jiao Tang University to investigate the impact of the urban heat island on the energy consumption and environmental quality of buildings in Sydney and Shanghai. Also, to investigate and propose appropriate technologies to mitigate the temperature anomaly and decrease the energy consumption of urban buildings located in zones of high heat island intensity.
