The Program

  • Work part-time and earn a salary as a paraprofessional teacher in a Riverina local school while studying.*
  • Receive wrap-around support from locally employed UNSW Schol of Education staff, local partner schools, student mentors and supervising teachers from the commencement of your application to UNSW.
  • Attend unique face-to-face seminars tailored to UNSW School of Education Riverina students facilitated by UNSW academics throughout the year.
  • Access UNSW facilities in the Riverina located in Wagga Wagga, Albury and Griffith.
  • Receive offers of employment at Riverina schools upon completion of your degree.*
  • Open to school leavers and career changers with Bachelor and Master programs available.

*Paraprofessional and permanent teaching positions will be based on availability and subject to an application process with partner schools. These positions will only be open to UNSW School of Education Riverina students.
