Latest update

We’re pleased to share that the Academy Library is now expected to reopen in late April/early May.

In preparation, resources will begin returning to Building 13 this week.

We apologise for the delay and appreciate your patience. The project timeline has been impacted by factors outside UNSW Canberra’s control, but we are working closely with Defence to support a smooth building handover and reopening.

In the meantime, we remain committed to maintaining library services and minimising disruption. You can continue to access support via our alternate Service Desk at LTN (Lower Ground, B32, near SR03).

We look forward to welcoming you back to the refurbished library and hope you enjoy the improved spaces and updated facilities!

The project includes much-needed  updates to the infrastructure of Building 13, levels 1 and 2. Activities include:  a lighting upgrade, re-painting, re-carpeting, new shelving, new bathrooms, new fittings, and upgrades to student/staff study spaces, as well as additional furniture.

  • Extended virtual support via our library website and Ask Us Service.
  • Additional furniture to increase study spaces, has been set up across a range of common areas across campus including LTN L1, the Cadet Mess and Lecture Theatre South.

Special Collections

Special Collections’ access and delivery for students, academics & researchers continues! All face-to-face services (including viewings, classes, consultations, events) are being delivered via temporary spaces on campus, with online curatorial support available via the Special Collections contact page.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time and look forward to welcoming you back to a significantly enhanced library environment once the renovation is complete.  If you have any questions or require assistance with library services during the closure, please contact the Library.
