The Non-Animal Technologies Network (NAT-Net) invites applications for the Research Pillar Competitive Grant Scheme. This program funds collaborative, NSW-led research projects that advance innovative non-animal technologies in medicine and health.

Funding available

Up to three grants of $200,000 each, for two-year projects commencing March 2026. Total funding pool: $600,000.

The University of New South Wales is the administering organisation of NAT-Net. The NAT-Net Research Pillar Competitive Grant is made possible by funding from NSW Health.

Eligibility

Collaborations must involve at least two eligible research institutions (including at least one in NSW) and an early-mid career researcher (EMCR) as Chief Investigator. Projects must demonstrate substantial innovation in non-animal technologies. Host organisations may submit a maximum of two applications each.

Application process

The application and selection process includes two stages:

  • Stage 1: Expression of Interest, opens on 28 July 2025.
  • Stage 2: Full Application, only after the application has been shortlisted after the EOI stage.
