Dr Rhiannon Parker, a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Social Research in Health at UNSW Sydney, has been awarded a place in the PLuS International Interdisciplinary Researchers (PIIR) program.

Dr Parker, whose current research explores the social dynamics of cancer, palliative care, and antimicrobial resistance, was one of only 34 candidates selected for the prestigious collaborative research program.

The PIIR program is aimed at the next generation of research leaders, with the objective of enhancing interdisciplinary skills and developing a truly global perspective and network.

The PLus Alliance is a research partnership between three leading research universities, UNSW Sydney, Arizona State University and King's College London, with the main goal of the Alliance being to empower global communities to address their local needs to create a sustainable future for all.
