AMSI Vacation Research Scholarships - applications now open

AMSI Vacation Scholarships are now open to intending honours and postgraduate students. AMSI will fund Vacation Research Scholarships for students at AMSI member institutions.

The Scholarships give students the opportunity to commence a research career by funding third-year (and occasionally, exceptional second year) undergraduate students to complete a six-week mathematical sciences research project over their summer break.

The Scholars experience life as researchers while they work closely with a supervisor to complete a project over six weeks. Near the end of their summer of research, they present their findings at the exclusive AMSIConnect student conference in February. Finally they write up their findings in a formal research report and prepare a blog post to develop their science communication skills and give them experience in scientific writing for broader audiences.
