The School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University of New South Wales, will be offering up to 8 Top-Up scholarships of $12k per annum for domestic students commencing their PhD/MPhil programs at CSE in 2022. The top-up will supplement the main RTP award worth $28,854 p.a. To be eligible to apply, the students must be citizens of Australia/NZ, or Permanent Residents of Australia, and must have a minimum of upper second- class honours, or equivalent from a discipline relevant to the PhD/MPhil research. Applicants who completed their last academic degree more than 5 years ago must demonstrate evidence of recent research experience.

These scholarships are available for a select set of research projects in cutting-edge fields including human computer interaction, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and graph theory. As there are a limited number of top-up scholarships available, we encourage applicants to apply for the next PhD/MPhil application deadline on 03 December 2021 for Term 1 2022 start. Further top-ups may be available for subsequent deadlines: 04 February 2022 for Term 2 2022 start, and 08 July 2022 for Term 3 2022 start.
